Minors Policy

All Emory University faculty, staff, volunteers, students, and third-parties engaged at Emory are required to report suspected child abuse under Georgia law. Here is a checklist to help with planning your conference involving minors.  Our colleagues at the Emory Law Barton Child Law and Policy Center have compiled the following information to serve as a resource for our clients and the Emory community.

Internal Emory Clients

The Protecting Children: Identifying and Reporting Misconduct course is administered through Emory’s GLX insurer, United Educators.  After the user clicks on the link, they will be directed to the log-on page.  To start, everyone will be a first-time user, unless they previously registered on the site.  Previous users can log in using their Emory email address and created password.  Otherwise, on the registration portion of the page, enter first name, last name and email address.  Note that the Optional Field 1 & 2 should be left blank.

New Users will receive a registration email containing their temporary password to be used to log-on.  Once they log-on, they will be directed to change the password to their choice.  The email address used for registration will always remain as their “username”.  Going forward, registered users will log on using their registration email address and password.
